Bucquet Contemporary Glass George Whitfield Bucquet is the owner/operator of Mad River Glass in Arcata, CA. He has spent a large part of his artistic career as an instructor, speaker, consultant and coordinator in the development of fine art glass. He has been workshop instructor, glass, at Penland School of Crafts, Penland, NC; Glass Casting and Equipment Technician and consultant for Creative Glass Center of America, Millville, NJ; advisor for the future "Fine Arts Center"Community Arts Center, Arcata, A., and consultant for Arcata Recycling Center’s "Fire and Light"Glass Tile Project. George has also been the recipient of many awards. He has appeard in numerous solo and group exhibitions. He is represented in the permanent collections of The White House, Washington. D.C.; Glasmuseum, Ebeltoft, Denmark and R.J. Reynolds Corporation, Winston-Salem, NC among others.
